We realise it’s not a welcome surprise to find out on arrival that your bag is missing from the baggage belt. Let us tell you what you can do to solve it.
Many airports worldwide are currently facing exceptional operational circumstances. That may impact the delivery of your lost baggage. As the KLM Customer Contact Centre can’t provide you with more detailed information, we kindly ask you not to contact us. Please keep an eye on the baggage tracking tool regularly. It might take a couple of days before the status of your bag is shown in the tracking tool, but we will inform you as soon as we have news. We thank you for your patience and apologise for the inconvenience.
Report lost baggage
Can’t find your bag after arriving? Always report this as quickly as possible. We advise you to save your baggage tag until you have received all your belongings.
If your baggage is missing, you can report this online or at the airport. Is it not possible to report your missing luggage online? Please go to the baggage desk in the luggage area to register your lost bag. You’ll always receive a so-called Property Irregularity Report (PIR) with a file reference number. With this number, you can keep track of the status of your declaration. Once your baggage has been located, we’ll contact you to arrange delivery.
Fortunately, in 90% of the cases, we’re able to locate your baggage within 3 days!
